“Staff was very professional and the cost was reasonable considering this is an emergency 24 hours facility. Came with concerns about my shih tzu's watery, red eye, which did turn out to be in need of immediate attention. So glad I was able to get this checked out on a Saturday night! Shih tzu eye issues are nothing to mess around with. Wait time was as expected. Dr. Bay (and the nurse I didn't get the name of) were fantastic. The front staff very friendly. If I ever need emergency care again I would come back to VERG.”

“How could you rate this place less that 5 stars? Of course, nobody (humans or animals) WANTS to go to the vet, but Dr. Mann and his superb team saved our dog's life. Our pug's heart stopped for a minute and they performed CPR on him. We had ingratiating and informative support all throughout the ordeal and they gave our pet the same level of love and attention that we do at home. Our dog is certainly lucky to have Brooklyn Cares in the neighborhood. We are too.”

“They took amazing care of my kitten Yodel, I brought her in and she had a high fever and was very sick, she stayed with them for three nights and I brought home a healthy, happy kitten. The staff was kind and understanding, the vets called me twice a day unprompted to give me updates and were sensitive to my feelings as a pet owner. Veterinary care is always expensive, that is to be expected, however for the level of care she received over a three night stay, I'd say they undercharge for their service. I am going to continue to bring her and stay loyal to this practice, this is the best pet care I have ever received.”

Five Paws Review:
“Love this place. They saved my cats life! I found a kitten in my yard 2 yrs ago which was nothing but skin and bones. She also had both of her eyes closed shut due to a very bad eye and respiratory infection. I took her in and they immediately took care of her and saved her life. My cat is now 2 yrs old and is doing great. We now follow up with Dr. D'Onofrio. She takes her time and is so sweet to my cat & I. The Hospital is always very clean, the receptionist are very sweet, they have plenty of availability to work around your schedule and there is little to no wait time once you arrive. I am so happy I found One Love Animal Hospital.”

Five Paws Review:
“I don't write a lot of reviews, but I just had to come here to share how wonderful Brooklyn Roots is. They go above and beyond in every way. The love with which the staff treat my dog rivals that of my significant other, which I didn't think was even possible. They have constantly bent over backwards to accommodate us (letting us in even as they're closing; checking out our dog even as they're working on another serious situation). My dog literally pulls me to the vet's office if I take him within a one-block radius. Seriously, do your pet a favor and bring them to Brooklyn Roots!!”

“Dr. Ellen and her team are great! We used them for immigrating with our dog to Europe. She was patient and knowledgeable with all of our questions and concerns. We really enjoyed her calm presence in the house, and wish we had found her earlier for prior veterinarian needs. Even after the move, she followed up with us via email to see how we were doing. She really cares about her clients, even the ones who have left! Highly recommend.”

Five Paws Review:
“Long time dog owner in an area of Brooklyn with many good, competent vets. Dr. Truitt is my favorite so far, has been terrific with my older dog Owen and my 11 month old pup Wally. She makes a lot of effort to stay current on what's going on in veterinary medicine, and is simply a lovely, patient person to do business with-and she always puts your animal first and advocates for their needs, which I appreciate and, to my mind, is one sign of a good vet. So glad to have her in the hood, and I recommend her to everyone who asks me who I use for my guys.”

Five Paws Review:
“Dr. Rhooms and her staff are amazing!!! I had recently found a litter of the cutest kittens in my backyard. I decided to keep a few and to bring them in to Dr. Rhooms for their checkup. I called a few other vet office in the area, and though they were friendly enough on the phone, none were as great as Dr. Rhooms personally speaking to me and giving me advice about the kitties (these were the first pets I was adopting, so I was a bit nervous) and I knew I had to go with Dr. Rhooms. Then came the day were I brought the kitties in and wow was Dr. Rhooms great with them! She was able to check them out, give them their tests, and vaccinate them without issue and made the kitties feel very calm. She was warm and loving to the little ones and I'm so glad I chose her. Her pricing was also very competitive and she really wants to help folks who decide to foster strays! I'm excited to further work with Dr. Rhooms as she will be the primary vet for my new little kitties!”

“We have been taking our boxer Max to see Dr Beth Balsam for about 4-5 years now. She is truly the only person I have ever (and will ever) trust with our pet. She is very thorough during office visits, and always take the time to answer our questions and hear our concerns. Our dog is somewhat questionable with people, and she goes above and beyond to accommodate him. She is responsive over email and even offered to be in touch with our dog walker while we are out of the country. I've recommended many people to Dr Balsam and they all love her. If you're looking for someone who will genuinely care for your entire family, it's her!”
